My New Kicks
I do not think I have ever made a post about shoes on here, but I feel like it was needed because of how awesome they are. I really needed some shoes for working out because my current ones are about 8 years old. I still wear them all the time which is probably why they have lost almost all support. ANYWHO, I went to look for some new ones and found some great shoes (I hope) at a new local store. They are extremely lightweight, and seem to breath very well. I loved the black ones at first, but after seeing these I could not turn away. I do not wear UT clothing a lot, but I figured if I ever make it to a game these would be a great addition. I am happy to say I now have shoes that scream Go Vols!
Vol For Life!
Not much of an update I know, but winter finally showed up here so I try to avoid going outside.
Nashville Zombie Outbreak
Over a week ago my sister and her boyfriend took part in the Nashville Zombie Run held downtown. The event was put on in order to help raise money towards the Nashville Rescue Mission. They had 3 separate runs which basically were according to how good of shape you were in. The last race being the people who thought they could run the 5K the best. The 5K started at the Riverfront Park, crossed over the Pedestrian Bridge, and then eventually made it’s way past the Occupiers into downtown. On the LP Field side is where the zombie contamination area was. So this area was full of zombies waiting for there victims to try and run by. The runners all had flags that the zombies were trying to grab, once your flag was taken you went to a station to pick up the sticker that marked you as a zombie.
The event itself is a great idea, but it seemed to be pretty unorganized, and unsafe in a few areas. There was a huge bottleneck at the bottom of the pedestrian bridge making it a dangerous section to run. Overall it looked like everyone was having a great time. I only saw one person who was unhappy. One “man”, I use this term loosely since he was complaining so much, was angry about being tackled by a zombie. Clearly he was not ready for a zombie outbreak. I for one thought it was common knowledge that zombies do not play fair. They just do not care.

If the event had a Best Zombie award, this should of been the winner. He not only had the look, but if he was walking around downtown by himself I would of been worried we had an outbreak. He had the walk down perfectly.
Buckeye Land
After getting a few requests to update everyone with how things are going, I finally have some time to do so. I am happy to say I finally ran into a fellow UT fan today. He probably thought I was a psycho because I had a huge smile on my face and waved. (Now realizing I do not have any UT stuff on my car, I can see the problem) I even saw a Gator fan a few days ago and got happy but not for long. Ohio has so many potholes, Buckeye fans, and it’s crazy no helmet laws for motorcycles. Very easy to go crazy trying to avoid the stupidity.
ANYWAYS, to avoid turning this into a rant, I will transfer by saying I am loving it here. I had a great weekend by myself which included washing the car(for the coming rain storms two days later), riding my bike, and then lots of basketball aka the SEC championship game.
This is my second week at the job, and it is still going great. I am still in the Trade Compliance department, but looking forward to my next section with Transportation. The daily tasks for Trade Compliance are still over my head at times, but it is great when it comes to picking brains. The amount of knowledge in that department along with their daily tasks is incredible. I finally got a computer for work, which has helped me feel like I actually am helping the company instead of being a nuisance asking questions.
Right now I have been doing audits and setting up some excel sheets to make their jobs easier in the future(so I have been told). Nice to get away from making copies, and looking at definitions haha. Going to meetings has dropped this week since I finally am able to bring something to the table. But I did get to sit in on a meetinToday (Thursday/St. Patricks Day) was beautiful, and was our once a week day of sun(I miss Nashville weather). So after working I decided to take the bike out to ride some back roads next to campus. I knew it was going to be a rough ride when I could barely hold a straight line in the parking lot because of the wind. It seriously felt like somebody was constantly bumping me trying to get me to fall over since the wind was so bad. After a few miles I was feeling great but came across a dog who looked to be licking his chomps. So I slammed on the brakes and headed back and STRAIGHT into the wind. Those were probably the hardest miles I have pedaled in a long time. The headwind was around 25mph and helped build my hatred for the weather patterns here. (Sunday was sunny with wind gusts up to 35mph)
I obviously have my complaints with the city since I have a deep engraved love for Nashville. However, I really have enjoyed my time here so far, and the family I am staying with could not be nicer. I have moved into their house, and they have been nothing but helpful and Mary/John are always doing more to make my change to a new city more comforting. OHHH and their dog Heidi is such a joy to be around.
Just thought I would give an update to my times in good ole Zaxbyless Ohio.
I am not sure if I really even talked about what has been going on. But I have definitely wrote enough and hopefully still have your attention. I have a few more pictures of Heidi, and hopefully will post those soon. I have a car show to go to this weekend, and my plans are to take my camera, but I am undecided if I will. Thanks for looking! Off to bed I suppose( @ 9:30 haha)
Arrived in Columbus
I figured I should try and update everyone even though I do not have any pictures to share. I drove up Friday in some pretty miserable weather. It rained for the last 4+hours, and continued to rain till about Saturday night(Turned into snow). The drive up was not that bad, minus the weather and having to swap my GPS/iPod into my cigarette lighter for power. Once I arrived I tried to unpack some and then we headed out to dinner with some A&F employees. The dinner was awesome because it was with the VP of Supply Chain and then two guys from Italy and Hong Kong. I felt very international haha.
Anyways I have not done that much here. I went shopping for more clothes to wear to work, and then have been trying to get situated being in a completely new city. Tomorrow will be my first day, and I am honestly pretty nervous. Anywho, I do not have much to say except that I have arrived in Columbus and excited to start this new endeavor. Hopefully I will have some pictures to post but I do not have my new computer yet. Thanks for looking
Copper in the Snow
Nothing big right now. Just a picture from a few nights ago of Copper in the snow. He LOVED being outside. For some reason he really hates gloves. So it made it really hard to take pictures because he kept trying to bite my gloves. Eyes came out kinda creepy.
Bored at work. Picture of a Bontrager Race X Lite Wheel.
Trying to get a short clip uploaded but I do not have a program for that..ugh
Looking Back @ O-Ten
As I did last year, I really wanted to try and pick out my favorite photos I took over the year. It is very difficult to narrow all of my photos down. But when it is done I can pretty easily show what was important to me over the year. The photos may not be the best ones I have taken, but they are the ones I am proud of the most. That could be anything from a memorable moment to just a photo involving a new subject matter or technique. The past year definitely brought many opportunities for great photos, and I believe that I learned lots during that time period.
O-Ten brought me a new job that has kept me active on my bike and constantly pushing myself to become a better employee. The year involved a sibling leaving for college, another getting a new job, and many changes around the house. It has brought me great moments of joy, and days full of stress. But after looking back on everything I can be really proud with how the year went.
The pictures will be listed by date taken starting with January 2010.
Now this picture did not get many views on my flickr. But I really like how it turned out. Maybe it is the memory, but every time I see this photo it really makes me want a nice warm cup of Hot Chocolate. I took this while stuck at the house doing one of our many snow storms last year.
I have taken many photos of Copper over the past 2 years. He seems to always be up for pictures, and I know he has no clue what I am doing but sometimes it just seems like he is posing for the camera. Last year during one of our snowstorms i went outside to take some photos of him and in this picture he stood out. He looks so stoic here, and his pose just makes it look like he is the king of the world. He was standing there with such power and force.
This next picture was one of the first times I had tried to photograph a bike with my flash. We had a customer special order this, and then have us ship it overseas. So before we shipped it off I wanted to test out the flash. I def wish I was able to take more pictures of bikes.
To follow suit with flash photography would be my next picture. I really wanted to see if I could use my external flash for cars. I was worried that it would not have enough power, and it does not during the day, but when the conditions are right it works great. I tested it out first on a friends car, and then the next day and I went out with mine since photographing my car usually does not involve time constraints.
Next up would be a picture for my sister and her friends senior party. They wanted to have a picture for invitations, so one day we all went out to take some pictures. This was my favorite photo from the set, and what was used for the invitations. I really liked how each girl looked in this photo, and the background lighting along with my flash provided for some great shadows.
This next photo surprisingly was easy to take. My family went on a private tour courtesy of me and we ended up getting into every athletic facility minus Neyland. (Which I got into by myself the next day) But we went by to check out the Softball field and it was open so we headed in. I really wanted to get a panoramic photo, and this angle just struck me as a great spot.
This photo is not the most striking photo, but it really made my bike look aggressive. The main reason I enjoyed this photo though was because of where it was taken. During the summer I got to go back to Knoxville for Alex’s orientation. So I spent the days taking photos and riding my bike around town. It was probably the best way I could spend two days.
I think the reason I picked this next photo is because of how well it showed the devastation from the flood. Since many places were shut down, our business was very slow right after the flood. So Adam(co-worker) and I got on some bikes at the Bike Pedlar and went for a ride around Hermitage. I took my camera along and tried to take pictures of the places I knew best. This is of the Target parking lot across from DCA.
Of all cars I know this one probably has received the most mixed reviews in the accord scene. So before one of the big import meets I got a chance to meet up with Josh and a few other accord owners and take some pictures. This was the first time I had gotten to use my Nikon 80-200 f2.8. But I really loved how the photo came out. I was trying to get a more dramatic lighting, so after taking a few photos I finally got it the way I wanted.
This might of been my favorite photo of the year, and for a few reasons. I really loved how the lighting came out, and never noticed the sunset until post processing, but I really think it added to the overall mood. The photo also represents one of the proudest moments I have had at the bike shop. I had the privilege of getting to build this bike. It is a custom 9K bike designed by the owner. It was one of the most difficult things I have had to do at the shop, but once it was finished I have not been more proud. Well minus the complete bike overhaul I did last month for a bike older than I am.
Next up is a photo of Alex during our vacation to Gatlinburg. We were going up the SkyLine and this photo presented itself. It was color initially but to me the black and white really makes the photo. I know I am biased since I took the picture, but I feel like this could be used in an advertisement.
Below is a photo taken while coming down the mountains from Clingman’s Dome. I had never been able to take any photos of a moving stream. So after my dad asked if I wanted to stop I was not going to decline. It took a few rocks to jump to and from, but this is the angle I really liked. We also only had one casualty to the picture. (Alex fell in while we were coming back)
Next up was another first for me. Adam and I were finally able to meet up for some mountain biking. So I decided to take along some camera gear. I will admit that I will not ride with camera gear ever again because of the nervous factor it added. But it was probably one of the most enjoyable rides I have had on the mountain bike. AND the last time I have been on the trails, sad. It took a few tries, and different angles, but I was finally happy with the outcome. Now I just need a wide angle lens.
As you can tell cycling has become a huge part of my life over the past year. I am going to try and find my most popular pictures according to views on my flickr. So be on the lookout for another post. Thanks for looking and have a great New Year.
Christmas Expressions
If you want to get overwhelmed with pictures of the same people, then keep looking. But I could not stop taking pictures of Taylor. She seemed to always be making faces, singing, playing, etc. Each time I see at her at holidays she has more energy, and is definitely smarter.
Jealous of her toys!
Ghetto wide-angle on the flip-side
I would like to trade in my clothes for this please.
Her new toy was just 2 much for her to handle I think haha. I haven’t seen someone this overwhelmed in awhile.
Now for the fun part. Watching Taylor copy Jordan provided for quite the entertainment.
I absolutely love this picture.
Christmas Time!
There is one thing my family does each year around this time of the year, and that is go to the Opryland Hotel. Evidently everybody wanted to do that Sunday night. It is usually crowded, but this year it seemed to be at another level. I also was expecting some huge changes at the hotel. But to me it looked the exact same.
Anyways, before we headed to the hotel we went to a drive-in light show located on Music Vally Drive. They had lights that blinked to the music, which was awesome, but not sure how they can justify charging $25 per car. However, it was a very cool show. I just recommend taking a large car load so that the price per person is not so high.
Can I Have Some Fudge Brownie?
Well earlier this week was my birthday. I have never been the type of person to go crazy about it. To me it is just another day. This year was a good birthday overall. I left work early, had dinner at my favorite restaurant(Longhorn), and got to open presents haha. But one of the best presents I have gotten in a long time was from my parents, but done by the great staff at Rita’s Italian Ice. For those of you who don’t know me very well, I love their Fudge Brownie. A few weeks ago they closed, but announced they would do catering over the winter. WELLLL the day before my birthday I was bummed because I forgot to order some, my mom did not. The next day my mom calls me and says she needs some help unloading something from her car. I can now say I have enough fudge brownie for the winter, I hope…
It’s The Holiday Season
It is hard for me to realize that Christmas is so close. Not that I do not like the holidays, far from it. But I just do not feel like it is that time of the year. To me it should still be sometime around Halloween. But like each year, the week after Thanksgiving leads to our family putting up our Christmas decorations. This is a time I always look forward to, but was not in the mood this year. I think one big reason for that was because of the many things that went wrong when putting the decorations up. Our tree was holding poor form, two strands of lights did not work(pre-lit tree), and we had MANY lights not working for outdoors. So all in all it was a poor experience.
I was in a very very sour mood today. So I decided to stay at home by myself and solve the non-working lights crisis. Below is a picture of our tree finally up and decorated. The third picture is of a technique I did last year, but tried to perfect it more this year. Enjoy! I also started the process of decorating my car, but am finding it hard to out-due what I have done over the past 4 years or so.
Ghetto wide-angle always making an appearance.
Family Time
It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving has already arrived and gone. I am not in the mindset of decorating, even after doing it today.
But for Thanksgiving we were in Nashville this year. We went to my grandparent’s house for lunch/dinner. It was the first time all of the family has been in one household in a long time. Below are the pictures from that day along with a description if needed.
First off are the pictures of the new addition. Meet Will, who had the privilege of spending his first Thanksgiving with me.
Will’s big sis Taylor.
Uncle Jordan looking on as I take pictures of Will.
Taylor doing flips for Jarrett.
Taylor was making some funny faces at Uncle Jarrett.

Tear it Down!
After weeks and weeks of delaying the inevitable, we finally decided to replace the fence at our house. So after a family friend offered to help my dad we decided to do it ourselves. Last week on my day off I had the privilege of doing the demolition. Was it hard work? Yes it was, but tearing stuff down is also fun. After a few hours of good music, tools, and a fire I had the fence down. I tried to get a time lapse of one side. But I do not have any programs to do it easily, so after awhile I got tired of having to keep up with it. Thursday I tore down the fence, and Friday/ Saturday my dad and Mr. Brockman removed the posts and put in the new ones.
I kept the gates so they could use them for reference
The aftermath
Our backyard looks so much bigger with no fence.
After this week we should have the whole fence up. I can not wait because the old fence looked awful. It also had many loose boards which meant weekly we were having to bring Copper back after his escape.
In other news…I have only driven 2400 miles this year. That makes me happy haha.
Gatlinburg Panoramics
Another delay in my posting. I sorry. But below are the panoramic photos taken from our trip last month. I knew I wanted to take lots of panoramic photos at the high spots. So I made sure to try and spot out some angles for some overview photos.
This pan shot consists of 6 photos stitched together. It was taken at the parking lot before going to Clingman’s Dome.
Another pan shot from Clingman’s Dome. But this was actually taken at the top, facing Gatlinburg.
Looking down at Gatlinburg from the top of the Sky Lift
Then the same photo from the previous photo from Cade’s Cove
Cove de Cade
Sorry for the delay but I am back with some pictures from our trip. Hard to believe it has been over 2 weeks since we had gone.Anyways, after a great time at the speedway we realized how time crunched we were. We wanted to get a good afternoon in at Cade’s Cove, but quickly realized that the day was running out. So after a stop at a gas station for some refreshments we headed on our way to Cade’s Cove. A few miles before we arrived we passed a sign that said “Cade’s Cove 3-4 hours.” We all thought to ourselves, what in the world could that mean since we were so close. Well after about 100 yards of driving we quickly realized what it meant.
Traffic was horrible there, so it probably took us around 3-4 hours to drive 11 miles. But it was a well spent 3-4 hours to me. The scenery was good until it got dark, but once it was night the weather felt amazing. We saw maybe 4 deer up close but the rest were small dots in the distance.

One of the panoramic photos taken. This was about midway into Cade’s Cove.
Smokey the Mountains
Back to the topic of Gatlinburg. Saturday began with some disappointment, aka the traffic. We were pretty lucky the first two days with traffic, but since the weekend was here, so was everyone else. The day began with a good lunch but poor entertainment. The TV’s had the UT game on, so it was frustrating to watch. After eating lunch we dropped Mom and Rachel off at the mall. Then Alex, Rocky, Dad, and I headed over to the Superspeedway or whatever the go-kart place was called.
The tracks were really fun and thankfully the lines were not that long. I went on a few and for the last ride decided to take some pictures. The whole time we were there we thought Rocky would get kicked out of a race. But it ended up being my dad haha. Evidently we were all bumping too much and he was the one who drew the short straw.
Alex is too cool to drive with two hands.
Tomorrow will have pictures from our trip to Cades Cove.
Halloween Spirit
Well I decided to step away from photos of Gatlinburg for at least one day. So below are some pictures of my car. A few years ago I started decorating it for Christmas. It started out with just some lights on the roof rack. Then the next year I added a bow and hung a Santa ornament from the back. Last year I decided to add some more by wrapping my roof rack wind fairing with Christmas wrapping paper. So I was bored last week on my day off and I had been thinking about doing something for Halloween on my car. After a few days of searching the internet I finally decided what I wanted to do. An hour or so of preparing the decoration and it became a success.
Below are some pictures from the Import Alliance Fall Meet.
The new decoration haha
My new friend for the next week
Thanks for looking. My next post will be back to pictures from the Gatlinburg trip.
Going Down the Mountains
I realize I have not posted any scenic panoramic shots so far. I took some panoramic photos from each high spot and I am going to post those all together. But back on subject. After checking out the view for awhile we decided to make our way down the mountain. One thing I was surprised about was the big temperature change from Gatlinburg to Clingman’s Dome. I do not remember the exact temps but it was around 8 degrees cooler at the top. So I was in heaven up there since it felt so cool at the top.
There was one thing I had been wanting to do the whole trip, and that was take pictures of a stream. I did not want to say anything because I felt that I would be a nuisance having to stop just for me to take pictures. But while we were driving down my dad extended the offer, and I was not going to pass it up. After stopping a few times we finally found a good spot to take pictures.
So I grabbed my camera and my 24mm lense and heading onto the rocks. We all put our hands in the water to see how cool it was, and it did not disappoint us. The water was not freezing, but it was cold. It made me really want a cold glass of water.(As I type this I am craving a glass again)
After a few minutes of rock jumping, and taking pictures the inevitable finally happened. While I was taking pictures Alex and Rocky were walking around and Alex got herself into a tough situation. She went somewhere that was easy to get to but hard to come back from. So her only choice was what led to her downfall. I did not get to see it since I was taking pictures. But she tried to get across a gap and jumped onto a wet rock. This jump combined with her boots caused her to slip and go in. THANKFULLY she did not fall completely in but only to her knees or so. She did get a really bad bruise and her socks were wet for the rest of the trip but we all survived.
Once we hit the bottom we decided to head over to Hill Billy Putt Putt. We all had a great time there since putt putt tends to rarely disappoint. It was a cool location, but it honestly had little obstacles or difficulty. Even with the lack of challenges we did not have many hole-in-ones. I think that was because the course was not in top shape.
I took a few pictures there but I really did not like the outcome of any. After finishing, and Alex bragging about winning we headed back to the cabin. Once we got back we decided to go check out the clubhouse and some other cabins. I do not know about you, but the consensus with us is that we would NEVER stay at these cabins. Look at how high they are. It is hard to get the full effect without seeing them in person, but I had never seen a house on stilts haha
Gatlinburg Day 2
Day two began much better than the previous morning since my air mattress held air all night. So I was def in a much better mood in the morning. The first thing we did Friday morning was go to the Applebarn to eat. The wait was not that long which is always a great way to start the day. As expected, the servings were large and I don’t even think I was hungry. After we finished eating we decided to go to Clingman’s Dome. I was really excited about this since it is the highest point in TN. The drive up there was pretty long and curvy so it did take awhile to get to the top. I think we were all expecting a car drive to the top, but what we found was a steep uphill walk to the point.
The drive up.
Still going up!
End of the driving…now for the walking part
The trees up here were not showing many signs of life.
Getting closer to the top
WE MADE IT!!! I could see it being pretty creepy up here alone at night since everything is dead looking
Alex enjoying the view not realizing what awaits her in an hour or so.
More trees
I can now say I have walked part of the trail…even if it was just about 10 feet
All I could think of while we were on these rocks was of Lion King.I really wanted to have a lion cub and raise him over my head for everyone to see.
The trees were starting to turn colors. The scenery would of been much different if we were there the next weekend.
Rachel and Rocky posing for a picture.
That is all for today. I spent the majority of the day at a car meet so I am pretty tired from being in the sun for a few hours. Stay tuned to see what awaits Alex on the drive down.
Gatlinburg Day One Part Two
Now onto the rest of the day’s activities. After the skyrail we decided to head to Ober Gatlinburg. We decided to drive there which was nice except for the way down. The driver in front of us was on his brakes the whole way down so it kinda smelled bad.
The first thing we did up there was ride the slides. So more money was spent, another line, and then back onto a different skyrail heading up the mtn. The view from this skyrail was great, and we even were stopped a few times which allowed for a peaceful break. Once we hit the top we grabbed our sleds and got ready to go down. I must say this was the biggest waste of my time on the whole trip. Not because it was stupid, but because I had to go behind the slowest girl in the city. Evidently she was on her brakes the whole way down which meant I caught up to her about 1/4 of the way down.
We do not like each other that much.
Since Rachel and Alex looked the same I think Rocky was mistaken and asked the wrong girl.
I am not a fan of ice skating so I just sat to the side and watched. If I was meant to be on ice I would of been born with ice skates as feet.Rocky however was a beast on the ice even though it was only his 2nd or 3rd time to skate.
After skating for awhile we decided to head down the mountain. Before we went to eat we made a stop at Wal-Mart to get me a new bed. I was not going to sleep on a broken air-mattress one more night. So after wasting an hour in Wal-Mart we left with an air mattress, some sheets, and 2 gallons of water. (Quite the combination) By the time this was over it was nearing dinner. So we decided to go to Old Mill for dinner. It was pretty packed, but thankfully had many distractions. The first distraction was the waterfall in the front. This was the last time Alex would be this close to one and have dry socks. (Tune in another day for that story)
We then stopped by the store and found a slingshot sitting next to some marbles. Not a good thing to have near each other.
We still had quite some time until we were going to be called so we headed over to the fudge store. After buying some fudge we were finally called for dinner. The food was good, and the servings were large. Food was one thing we never lacked in Gatlinburg. This is Alex’s face after she was given her plate. She seems to be a tad surprised about the amount of food.
Since this was a very eventful day we decided to call it a night. We headed back home, watched a movie, and then went to bed preparing ourselves for another great day in the mountains.
Gatlinburg Day 1 Part 1
I am going to try and have a post about each day from my Gatlinburg trip. Some days may take more than one post since I did take lots of pictures over the trip.
Day 1: Our first day was really a long day since Rachel, Rocky, and I did not arrive until about 1:30am. So the first thing I did in Gatlinburg was go to sleep. Quite the story I know. After getting a nice 3-4 hour sleep(My air mattress was broke and I had only one blanket in the freezing room) we headed off to Gatlinburg. The first thing we did was find a parking spot and head over to the Pancake Pantry. This is the one place everyone mentioned we should make a stop at. I was definitely glad we did. The wait was not long, and the food came quick. Nothing better to start the day than a Swiss Chocolate Chip Pancake….5 of them…
Can you say yummy?
We then went to drop something off at the car and walk around in the mall. Lots of tourist traps inside but that was not a big surprise.
My parents and their new friend.
Our next stop on the trip was to the Sky Lift. I will admit that this seemed exciting and worth doing. But once I saw the price I lost all desire to do it. I can not fathom how much money they must make since it cost over $10 to just ride up and down. So after stomaching the cost, and watching dad pay for it, we headed up.
It sure is a long way down.
Alex taking in the view.
We made it!
At the top.
Left to Right (Rachel’s boyfriend Rocky, Rachel my older sister, Alex my younger sister, and then yours truly)
Relaxing on the way down. I think at this point Alex and I were actually counting the money spent. I think at this point it was at about $7 of the 11.
Alex representing her new love (and hatred) UT.
That seems like enough pictures to hold everyone over for now. The first day was filled with different events. So I don’t want to try and cover them all in one post. Thanks for looking! The next post will involve skating, water, and disappointments.
Smokey Mountains were not so Smokey
I can finally tell people I have been to Gatlinburg. Kinda sad that I have lived in TN my whole life, and even went to school in Knoxville, and I never visited Gatlinburg. But now I have, and I enjoyed every minute of it……….. ALMOST….The only thing that got old was the traffic, and that was not bad until Saturday and Sunday.
My family and Rachel’s Boyfriend all went to Gatlinburg from Wed-Sunday. We got to stay at a friend of the families’ cabin. Instantly the trip was amazing since our cabin was perfect. Rachel, Rocky, and I did not actually arrive till 1:20 AM on Thursday, but my parents and Alex got there around midday. I will have a post describing each day along with pictures.
But to keep everyone held over till then, here are a few pictures from the trip. The weather could not of been better since the highs were mid 60s and lows in the 50s.
Our cabin. Thank you so much Bubba for allowing us to use it. The road to get here was really curvy and steep. I kinda wish I had my road bike just to try and ride it AKA pass out trying.

Around the City
Last week I had the privilege of having amazing weather on my day off. So after running a few errands I decided to try and take advantage of this. Below are a few pictures from my exploration around Nashville. It is finally the season of amazing weather. This time I will not keep you delayed with lots to read. I am really not in the mood for typing. I have lots of packing to do for our family trip this weekend.

Lunch of Champions
There are few things greater than a PB & J. Currently I can not think of any of them, but I am sure there is something out there. If you do not like them, that is cool, I guess. Just please try and keep your hatred of perfection to yourself. Anyways, on my day off a PB & J is a great sandwich for either a pre or post-ride meal.
PB & J with some Bunny Bread and Strawberry-Kiwi to Drink

Selene’s Photoshoot
I finally had time to detail the car, and I am really glad I got around to it. The paint feels so good clayed, buffed, and ready to go. So as expected I had to grab the camera to take some photos. The first photoshoot turned out to be a failure. The batteries on my flash were good, but the wireless triggers were dead. So the only way to trigger them was to have the camera about 2 feet away from it. After a long week of work, but plenty of overtime, having the flashes not fire was very frustrating.
The car has no new modifications, and probably never will. I still love driving it, and could never be seen in a stock car. But the passion is not there anymore. My car has become just a mode of transportation, and because of this it no longer gets the attention it used to.
Check out how shiny the car still can get
As you can see, the weather was phenomenal that day.
Then this photo was from the next day after dog sitting for my cousins.
